The Nançay Observatory
The first French site for radioastronomy, Nançay’s activities began in 1953 driven by several physicists and astronomers. The Ecole Normale Supérieure, the C.N.R.S. and the Paris Observatory joined forces to promote this new science, using gigantic instruments. The Nançay Radio Observatory now constitutes an admirable site to establish new international projects for the study of celestial radio radiation.
