Presentation 1 : Oral
Cosmic magnification (PNC)
Brice Menard, Matthias Bartelmann, Yannick Mellier
Gravitational lensing by large-scale structures induces correlations
between physically uncorrelated background quasars and foreground
galaxies.
Two- and three-point quasar-galaxy correlation functions allow the
determination of cosmological parameters and the galaxy bias factor,
its dependence on scale, redshift, and galaxy morphology.
Signal-to-noise estimates show that data from surveys like SDSS should
already be sufficient for such a measurement at a high significance.
