A study of the X-ray sources in the globular cluster Omega Centauri
Bruce Gendre, Natalie A. Webb, Didier Barret
We present a 40 kiloseconds XMM-Newton observation of the globular cluster Omega Centauri (NGC 5139). We detect 80 sources within the EPIC field of view. Twelve of them lie within the half mass radius. Eight of the half mass radius sources are likely to be related to the cluster. We present spectra of the brightest sources. We determine the nature of detected sources within the half mass radius, and show that 1 quiescent neutron star, at least 2 CV and 2 BY Dra binaries are present in this cluster.
