Diagnostics of weak magnetic fields in the solar atmosphere through THEMIS observationsand

We have measured with THEMIS significant linear polarization
in molecular lines
of C2 and MgH and, in various atomic lines, such as the
BaII 455.4 nm
resonance line observed in the low chromosphere.
I will present some interpretations of these measurements,
based on a modelisation of the photospheric light scattering
by molecules or atoms in the low chromosphere.
I will discuss the diagnostics
which can be derived from these measurements.
