INTEGRATED OPTICS ON GLASS

Ion exchanged integrated devices have been extensively studied for twenty years and this work has shown the numerous advantages of this low-cost efficient technology based on the exchange of some alkali ions of a glass substrate with the ones of a molten salt. Recently, the use of integrated optic devices as telescopes' signal recombiner has been proven of great interest. In this paper, various solutions concerning glass integrated optics are first presented : wavefront filtering, dichroïc filtering, integrated laser matrix for telemetry and micro lenses. Then, futur developments will be presented.
