Magnetic versus rotational effects in roAp stars
Bigot Lionel
The roAp stars are known to be rapid pulsators in which the magnetic field (few kG) plays an essential role in the dynamic of these oscillations. Even if these stars are slow rotators (few days) we have shown that the rotation has a deep influence on the mode properties. I will then present in the first part the magnetic field effects alone (frequency shifts, distortion of the geometry) and in the second part I will present the combined effects of the magnetic field and rotation, including both Coriolis and centrifugal forces, and the consequences for the mode's inclination and for the observational light curves.
