The THEMIS telescope has now provided spectropolarimetric data for two of the most famous manifestations of the solar magnetic activity, namely sunspots and filaments/prominences. I will present several recent results obtained with 3D magnetohydro-static and -dymanic models of these phenomena. These models either used THEMIS magnetograms as boundary conditions or THEMIS images as morphological constraints. In every case, some unexpected results and predictions were derived, which will need to be further tested by combining several instruments such as THEMIS and LYOT.
